In 1982, Milwaukee churches addressed homelessness by supporting a “drop in” center for homeless men. It was immediately apparent that these men needed more than a cup of coffee and a checkerboard. From this, a premier advocate agency rose to fight the causes of homelessness. For more information, click here.
The Guest House currently provides shelter for 70 -80 adult men per evening. It is the largest publicly funded emergency shelter in Milwaukee. The Guest House of Milwaukee Inc., is a not for profit organization. We are a 501 (c) (3) corporation and all donations are tax deductible. You may make a secure, online financial donation to The Guest House at anytime.
The Guest House is a proud member of Community Shares of Greater Milwaukee. Community Shares raises funds through workplace-giving campaigns to support 50 local charities in the areas of social change, economic justice and environmental progress.
